Function: Under the direct supervision of the Health Project Manager and in close collaboration with the designated co-supervisor from National Public Health Institutes (NPHIs) including the Ministry of Health, and Rwanda Biomedical Center, the Public Health Interns will undertake secondary analyses of DHS VII and related datasets to generate evidence that informs program improvement and policy refinement focusing on priority areas such as malaria, childhood stunting, HIV, and maternal and neonatal mortality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in using existing database in generating evidence-based insights and contribute to translating findings into actionable recommendations to inform public health policies and programs.
  • Contribute to the preparation and dissemination of analytical reports, policy briefs, and scientific manuscripts, with the aim of supporting publication in peer-reviewed journals.
  • Contribute to quantitative and qualitative data collection and analysis relating to the mass campaign communication for disease prevention and public health promotion.
  • Engage in interdisciplinary teamwork and actively participate in knowledge exchange with fellows, government counterparts, and technical partners.
  • Adhere to professional standards in data protection and privacy during management, analysis, and reporting.

Exigences

  • Master's degree in Public Health related fields
  • Proficiency in English and French
  • Minimum 70% grade final exam
  • Maximum age 25 years old
  • Rwandan citizenship
