Background
Enabel in Rwanda is implementing projects funded by third parties (European Union and Luxembourg) in Health, Agriculture, Urbanisation Forestry and Regional teacher's initiative in Africa. Kwihaza project, is a 5-year project (2023-2027) funded by the European Union and the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg through the Luxembourg Development Cooperation Agency. The project works with government institutions like MINAGRI, RAB, NAEB, RSB, RICA, and RTB targeting cooperatives, producer groups and SMEs, with focus on youth and women in the development of the aquaculture, fisheries and horticulture value chains. In efforts to increase the productivity of the project team, Enabel is currently looking for a Professional Intern in Strengthening Cooperatives (f/m).
Duty Station: Kigali, with field missions to Agriculture project areas
Duration of the contract: 6 months extendable once
Expected starting date: July 2026
Function
Under the direct supervision of the Agriculture Value Chain Development Expert, the Intern will support the management and governance strengthening of aquaculture, fishery, and horticulture cooperatives through capacity building, data collection, digital integration, and coordination of field activities.
